- ➤ Red Cross volunteers in Stillwater organized donation centers at the Payne County Expo Center and Stillwater Armory on Saturday, March 15, 2025, to help residents in need. Kate Mase—who first volunteered during Hurricane Katrina—is leading efforts to sort donations and open an overnight stay center for those affected. Stillwater News Press

- ➤ During Women's History Month, the state honors influential women such as historian Angie Debo—acclaimed as Oklahoma's greatest historian—who wrote 13 books and hundreds of articles about Native American and Oklahoma history. Stillwater News Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Stillwater Public Education Foundation provided $23,000 + matching funds from Simmons Bank to Skyline Elementary School to launch a play-based learning program that allows kindergarteners to explore future careers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A wildfire burned more than 3,000 acres southwest of Stillwater and destroyed homes and structures, according to the Oklahoma Forestry Service. Evacuation areas from Friday remain restricted as residents still await a safe return — the Stillwater Emergency Management says. Stillwater News Press
