- ➤ The Red Dirt Film Festival returns for its 12th season in downtown Stillwater—films will be screened at the Stillwater History Museum at The Sheerar and a welcome party will be held at Backstage Stillwater from Friday through Sunday. Stillwater News Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine held an Employee Recognition event on April 1st to honor faculty and staff for their years of service. Awards were presented — including the Stratton Staff Award to Heather Yates and Employee of the Year to Andrew Porter — along with honors for service milestones and longevity. OSU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Stillwater voters approved a new $8.75 million bond for an Animal Welfare facility near the airport with a vote of 3,647—1,266 in favor. In-person absentee ballots showed 79.7 percent support while overall votes reached 74.2 percent, making it the city's second municipal bond since 1999. Stillwater News Press
