COMMUNITY NEWS

  • OSU's Engineers Without Borders built garden beds at the Payne County Youth Center for youth + installed a water pipeline in Guatemala; the club gathered community feedback for a schoolhouse to expand learning space for 60 families. Club president Crowl said the work shows that every project makes a difference.  The O'Colly

EDUCATION NEWS

  • OSU’s emergency operations center played a crucial role during last year’s March wildfires as officials, police and emergency staff coordinated evacuations and safety updates from a modern control room at University Health Services. The center remains a calm hub for crisis management and planned campus events.  The O'Colly
  • OSU’s new SGA president Baylor Haynes and vice president Braden Hamilton won the spring election after a student court confirmed their campaign violated rules by missing a campaign list deadline and submitting an incomplete budget. Their penalty was symbolic and they will take office after commencement.  The O'Colly

SPORTS NEWS

  • In a conference realignment announced Wednesday, five wrestling programs left the Big 12 — dropping it to nine teams — while top performers from OSU, Iowa State, Wyoming, Arizona State and Missouri showed strong results at the NCAA Championships. The change allows the conference to move toward a round-robin dual schedule.  The O'Colly
  • Jacie Hoyt must rebuild the Cowgirls roster after eight players entered the transfer portal, leaving one returner, Stailee Heard. Hoyt added three freshmen and announced that former Fort Hays State star Talexa Weeter will join Tuesday (the coach plans to seek a starting center through the portal).  The O'Colly
  • Today, two former OSU coaches have reached the Final Four as Brad Underwood’s Illini will face UConn at 5:09 p.m. and Mike Boynton’s Wolverines will play Arizona at 7:49 p.m. Fans continue to back Boynton strongly.  The O'Colly
