Good morning, Stillwater.
🎭 Culture
Josh Crutchmer, a Stillwater alumnus, built his career in sports and music journalism after discovering live Red Dirt music at Wormy Dog Saloon.
He now serves as planning editor at The New York Times (spotlighting Oklahoma’s music legacy) while preserving the local scene he loves.

Storm chasing in Oklahoma has increased as more people use mobile apps to track severe weather, which can clog rural roads and slow emergency responses.
Experts advise chasers to keep a safe distance from storms to protect themselves and others.

College student bartenders keep the Strip lively at Wormy Dog Saloon and The Dirty Rooster Saloon by serving drinks and upholding firm rules during busy shifts.
Their teamwork and clear protocols (even when handling demanding patrons) help sustain a safe, energetic scene.
