- ➤ On April 11, a 33-year-old Stillwater man on probation for past crimes was sentenced to five years in prison for stealing a $1,195 E-bike from behind a bar near OSU on Oct. 19, 2024 — police said he also had meth and drug paraphernalia at the time. Stillwater News Network
- ➤ An ex-convict from Glencoe, Jaymie Dustin Pratt-Bregg, 32, received four 20-year prison sentences on April 15 after pleading guilty to domestic violence charges for choking and threatening his girlfriend with a weapon during two 2024 attacks — he must register as a violent offender when released. 1600 KUSH-AM
- ➤ Dakota Joe Gooch, a 22-year-old Cushing man on probation for gun possession, has been accused of six charges—taking a truck without permission, drunk driving, being a felon in possession of a gun, attempting to elude police, attacking his girlfriend, and driving on a suspended license—and he was released on $25,000 bond with a court appearance set for May 5. - ➤ On April 28th, Women for OSU awarded a record 18 scholarships to OSU students at its annual symposium presented by Bank of Oklahoma — Brooklyn Hawkins was named Student Philanthropist of the Year for her work with teens battling cancer. The event also granted six Partnering to Impact awards to support campus programs in health, education, beautification, and arts. OSU

- ➤ The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced the 2024 Certified Healthy Oklahoma awardees that honor local groups for using best practices in health and wellness, including Payne County Schools and the Payne County Health Department. More than 1,900 applications were received statewide and applications for 2025 will open on Aug. 1 and close on Nov. 1. 1600 KUSH-AM
- ➤ The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced the 2024 Certified Healthy Oklahoma awardees for Payne County—recognizing groups in business, campus, congregation, early childhood, and school categories, including Oklahoma State University and Stillwater Public Schools, with awards at Excellence, Merit, and Basic levels. Awardees will receive formal recognition for their work on health measures like physical activity, nutrition, tobacco use and mental health, while applications for 2025 open Aug 1st and close Nov 1st.
