- ➤ Downtown Stillwater’s new Block 34 park—set to be the city’s latest recreational space—will open during the Dancing Turtle Arts Festival from July 25–27. A flood watch remains in effect through 7 a.m. today due to heavy rains that may cause flooding. Stillwater News Press
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ OSU Extension’s Soil, Water and Forage Analytical Laboratory in Stillwater tested over 58,000 samples last year to help local producers make smart ag decisions. New director Bee Khim Chim said the lab now uses Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (a fast, low-cost method) to deliver results in two to five days and plans to upgrade equipment for more efficient testing. - ➤ At Monday's city council meeting, Stillwater Regional Airport approved a 20-year master plan that calls for a new terminal, a parallel taxiway, and other facility upgrades to meet rising flight traffic—all estimated to cost around $161 million from city, state, federal, and private sources. Mead & Hunt’s study revealed that enplanements bounced back faster than expected after the Covid-19 drop—making future growth a top priority. The O'Colly
