- ➤ Oklahoma State University business leaders celebrated the Cowboy100 4-Peats event on Monday, June 9 to honor Cowboy-operated companies that have been open for five years with verified revenues over $100K, and they shared how their work began at OSU. Entrepreneurs gave advice and recalled their early days—showing a strong connection to their roots and plans for the future. OSU

- ➤ Stillwater Oklahoma Magazine was named Magazine of the Year by the Oklahoma Press Association — its third consecutive win — after judges reviewed August and October issues submitted by the Stillwater News Press. Stillwater News Press
- ➤ OSU students ran the 2025 Wine Forum of Oklahoma on Monday, June 9 hosting over 300 guests for wine tastings, cooking demos and seminars. The event raised over $727,000 for OSU Hospitality scholarships (supporting future students) while celebrating global wines and culinary excellence. OSU
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Oklahoma State University launched the Cowboy Family Portal Monday to give families a free, tailored way to get campus news and resource updates + current families will soon get email instructions while incoming students learn more at Orientation. OSU
- ➤ Spears Business junior Femi Abioye honored his late father in a fall speech and now plans to lead ethical data science—he said his father’s values continue to inspire his career goals and academic achievements. OSU
- ➤ Rodrigo Tello, an MBA program manager and doctoral candidate at OSU, built a LEGO Starry Night masterpiece that marks his journey from international student to proud American citizen after his naturalization ceremony last fall—he has also helped boost the MBA program’s ranking and enrollment. His innovative leadership inspires students and reflects the care he puts into every step of his career at OSU. OSU
- ➤ Cydnee Miller, a junior double major in accounting and finance, was named Miss American Indian OSU 2025-26—earning a $1,000 scholarship while honoring her grandmother's legacy and Chickasaw traditions. She will use her title to promote mental wellness and cultural activities among Native American students until spring. OSU
- ➤ Oklahoma State University's Center for Research on STEM Teaching and Learning has supported educators for over a decade and will host a K–12 STEM Teacher Conference on June 13th to share best practices and classroom strategies. The center also will hold professional workshops and plans to post on-demand videos on YouTube—bolstering its mission to strengthen STEM education. OSU

- ➤ Dr. Kayse Shrum was named Chickasaw Nation’s chief health strategy officer on Monday after leaving her role at Oklahoma State—she will use her experience to help plan the new Newcastle medical center campus and improve rural health care. The O'Colly
