- ➤ An interdisciplinary team of OSU students won first place at the i2E Love's Entrepreneur's Cup on Thursday, June 12 with their SCIVINCE 3D-printing prototype and secured a win in the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship competition. They now will compete in the regional Startup World Cup in Tulsa aiming for an international conference and a $1 million investment prize — a sign of OSU’s strong collaboration between engineering and business. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Two Oklahoma students advanced from the state fair in March to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Columbus, Ohio where awards were given. Stillwater's Alex Kidangathazhe, who was mentored by an OSU professor, placed third in the microbiology division and won a $1,200 prize — while Andrew Zhang received a special award. OSU
- ➤ State officials approved $250,000,000 to build a new veterinary teaching hospital at OSU campus to address the shortage of large animal veterinarians—Senate Pro Tem Lonnie Paxton said the project will attract more students to rural practice. OSU
- ➤ The O’Colly earned multiple honors at the Oklahoma Press Association’s two-day convention held this past weekend — winning first place for news content, sports coverage, and photography in the College News Media category.
