- ➤ On Thursday, Stillwater nonprofit Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services dedicated a butterfly at the News Press open house with help from recurring donor Dr. Robert Breedlove—executive director Brandi White said it is part of the new facility. Stillwater News Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Oklahoma State kept tuition and fees flat for the fourth year after the OSU/A&M Board of Regents voted yesterday — a step to keep college affordable. Meanwhile, OU increased tuition and fees by 3% on Thursday to boost financial aid and lower the cost of attendance, according to its president. The O'Colly
- ➤ The Stillwater Public Library’s summer reading week offers a jump rope show with world record holder Peter Nestler on Tuesday June 17 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and a fiber laser activity for teens on Wednesday at the Stillwater Community Center—while the library cancels its planned family field trip on Thursday, June 19 for Juneteenth. On Saturday June 21, a Juneteenth picnic at Southern Woods Park will offer free food and games and the Friends of the Library will host a Collector’s Cookbook Sale in the library parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon—rain may cancel the sale. - ➤ On Friday, June 13, the OSU/A&M Board of Regents on the OSU-OKC campus approved numerous personnel actions at Oklahoma State University. The actions include new appointments and reappointments across several colleges such as Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Business and Engineering that will affect upcoming academic terms. OSU
