- ➤ Stillwater is hosting a Juneteenth National Independence Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Southern Woods Park on 12th Street. - ➤ A Stillwater couple, Stephanie Dawn Christopher, 46, and Patrick Jerome Christopher Sr., 42, were arrested on May 28 when police stopped their red Ford F-150 that matched a vehicle description linked to E-bike thefts & have been ordered to appear in court on July 31 for felony possession of a stolen Honda Grom motorcycle worth $2,000. - ➤ A 61-year-old man admitted to threatening the Payne County sheriff and undersheriff due to frustrations over his son's incarceration—he pleaded guilty on May 23 and was sentenced to five years of probation that includes 30 days in jail, a substance abuse evaluation, anger management, and 40 hours of community service. - ➤ A 58-year-old Cushing man admitted to violating sex offender rules by living too near Stillwater parks with a false address—he was sentenced to two four-year prison terms to run concurrently with a previous six-year term. Stillwater News Network
- ➤ Kenneth Edward Bonnell, a 52-year-old man from Glencoe, was jailed on a $100,000 bond after he allegedly hit his girlfriend on May 26, and he will appear in court on July 7 where he faces a potential prison term if convicted of a second domestic violence offense. Stillwater News Network
- ➤ A 58-year-old man from Cushing admitted he violated the Sex Offender Registration Act by living within 2,000 feet of Rotary Park and Lions Park and giving false address information—he was sentenced last week to two four-year prison terms served concurrently with six years for a probation violation. 1600 KUSH-AM
