- ➤ OSU Agriculture has released the latest wheat harvest trial results online, offering data on yield, test weight, and resistance for various wheat varieties. The trials—conducted at 20 to 25 sites with 20 to 30 cultivars each—help local producers choose the best wheat for their operations. OSU
- ➤ Oklahoma State University launched the Horizon Scholars program to support incoming first-time freshmen with a four-year scholarship of $7,500 per year—also offering one-time awards for study abroad and internships. The program, set to start with Fall 2026 enrollment, is expected to benefit 400 students annually and honors generous alumni donations. OSU
- ➤ Dr. Tony McAleavy and graduate student Lisa Vec Wier used metaphors like an ice hotel and Wonderland to study disaster response systems in a paper published in January that showed how the Incident Command System is temporary and changeable plus can shape better training for first responders. - ➤ Yesterday, OSUIT received two vehicles donated by Ford Motor Company—a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport and a 2024 Lincoln Aviator valued at $82,000—for use in its Ford ASSET program, and the vehicles were integrated into lab lessons to support hands-on training.
