EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On August 12th, OSU hosted a celebration at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center in Stillwater as state leaders and supporters honored the historic $250 million state funding for a new veterinary teaching hospital. OSU President Jim Hess said the project—designed to replace the aging facility and expand capacity for future veterinarians—will boost food security and strengthen Oklahoma’s agricultural economy. - ➤ Dr. Rachel Mosier from Oklahoma State University's College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology is leading a project to bring high-tech construction training to rural schools. The two-day conference, funded by the National Science Foundation, will let teachers learn to use drones and software — skills that can help students land high-paying construction jobs in the future. - ➤ Oklahoma State University appointed Dr. Terry Collins as interim head of the School of Industrial Engineering and Management effective Tuesday—he will continue as director of the Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management program while guiding the school. OSU
