COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Rolling Thunder Book Bus stopped Tuesday in Stillwater — handing out free books to children from American Fidelity and the NBA champions. It made stops at the Stillwater Public Library in the morning and Block 34 in the afternoon.  Stillwater News Press

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On August 13th, 2025, the OSU Center for Health Sciences Physician Assistant program awarded five scholarships to students committed to serving rural and underserved areas, including three set in Audrey Hendershot’s name. The awards—Rural Physician Assistant, Incoming, and Academic Excellence—offer financial aid and support for rural clinical rotations.  OSU
  • OSU Agriculture celebrated one year in its new facility—Agricultural Hall—which boosted teaching, research and extension by offering shared labs and study spaces. Faculty, staff and students noted the improved building promoted easier collaboration and stronger connections.  OSU
  • Oklahoma State appointed Brent Marsh as the new vice president for Student Affairs and he will head non-academic student services once approved by the Board of Regents; he will start on Sept. 2. Marsh, who worked at Ole Miss and Rogers State, is expected to help with career services, dining, and counseling—key parts of student life.  The O'Colly
  • Five OSU students were selected for the Fleming Scholar Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation — a competitive eight week summer internship in biomedical research. The program offers lab experience, stipends, and housing for students living over 40 miles — reinforcing OSU’s growing role in building scientific talent.  OSU
