GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The city of Stillwater named Rachel Bernish as its new assistant city manager and she will begin her role tomorrow overseeing key departments including development, utilities, engineering and codes. Bernish previously worked in Chickasha where she earned awards for community development and problem solving. The O'Colly
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Serene Lim, a fourth-year doctoral student in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at OSU Center for Health Sciences, is researching how the Fusobacterium bacterium may relate to cancer. She received the Robberson Dissertation Fellowship earlier this year—providing an $8,000 stipend, a tuition waiver and three credit hours—to support her research until she presents her dissertation in spring 2026. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ OSU lost 69-3 to Oregon on Sept. 6 — its second largest loss in football history — and several students voiced strong disappointment while some hoped for the injured quarterback's return as the team prepares for Friday's Tulsa game. The O'Colly
