- ➤ OSU launched its new RET Site program on Tuesday, September 23rd to train high school and community college teachers in making photonic microchips at the CEAT Advanced Technology Research Center cleanroom—led by Regents Professor Dr. Weili Zhang and Assistant Professor Dr. John Hu to build STEM skills and support semiconductor jobs. - ➤ For the second year in a row, Stillwater Pioneer Marching Band won first place in Class AA at Deer Creek Invitational—earning top honors in the competition. Perkins-Tryon Midnight Regiment also took first in Class A with its show Masters of the Keys—marking another strong performance at the event. Stillwater News Press
- ➤ Oklahoma State University was named the best value public university in Oklahoma in the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings released Tuesday—its ranking among the top 150 nationwide shows that out-of-state students receiving need-based aid pay less for a quality education. - ➤ On Friday, the Oklahoma State Cowboys lost 19-12 to Tulsa in an upset at home in Stillwater as the defense struggled with crucial tackles and allowed key fourth down conversions.
