- ➤ Downtown Stillwater businesses have participated in the second annual Downtown Scarecrow Contest from Oct. 4 through today — organized by Collette Cambelle of the Downtown Stillwater Association to fill all 42 poles with creative entries. Winners include Hideaway Pizza for traditional, Walgreens for business, Stillwonder for fantastical, and Payne County 4H for kids, with more than half of the entries coming from new participants. - ➤ OSU A&M cut GLP-1 medication for weight loss from its employee healthcare plan, saving nearly $2 million as announced in an email on September 3. Current employees will keep their coverage until the end of the year while new patients lost the benefit starting October 1 — the change may lead to health risks if the medication is stopped abruptly —.
