  • Stillwater nonprofits report they might lose federal funding by Saturday due to an upcoming government deadline—Project HEART, which serves seniors, is planning changes to keep meal services running.   • A hot-water line failure in Allen Hall caused flooding & activated fire alarms on Thursday after 5 p.m. following a planned water outage, and residents relocated with assistance from Housing and Residential staff while Facilities Management repaired the line and a remediation team dried affected areas.  The O'Colly

  • The government shutdown continues into its fourth week and will cause SNAP benefits for nearly 17% of Oklahomans to be suspended on Saturday, Nov.1 — about 686,800 residents will be affected as local food banks mobilize to help families in need.   • The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is preparing to assist local neighbors as a federal government shutdown may delay SNAP benefits starting November 1.
