- ➤ On Monday, parents gathered at Library Lawn Plaza in Stillwater to host a Hugs from Home event that gave college students snacks and hugs (helping those who might miss home during the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State officials voted Monday to send Oklahoma food banks $1 million a week from an emergency fund of $7.8 million if federal food assistance funding remains absent from the government shutdown—this funding is approved for up to seven weeks. Stillwater News Press

- ➤ Oklahoma State beat Oral Roberts 95-71 on Tuesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena by tightening its defense in the second half—five Cowboys scored more than 10 points.
