  • OnCue in Stillwater is rounding prices down to the nearest 5 cents as the disappearance of the penny forces businesses to adjust. President Laura Aufleger said the change helps customers and does not affect employee wages, though it has reduced profit margins.  The O'Colly

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tony Spurlock will play bagpipes today at OSU graduation while his daughter, Gracie, listens from the seats, marking a shift in their long OSU tradition + both celebrate a special milestone in a ceremony filled with personal memories.  The O'Colly
  • OSU announced on Dec. 11 that Dr. Delton Gordon was named senior director of housing and residential life; he will return on Jan. 6 and brings 20-year experience in housing operations, student engagement and crisis management.  OSU
  • OSU historian Dr. Holly Karibo’s book 'Rehab on the Range' was named one of Choice magazine’s 2025 Outstanding Academic Titles on Thursday, Dec. 11 — placing it among the top 12% of reviewed works. Her research on drug policy and borderlands history brings pride to her department in Stillwater.  OSU
  • During OSU’s final faculty council meeting Tuesday, OU leaders outlined governance reforms that expand senate membership from 50 to 60 to include non-regular faculty and introduce open discussion sessions (sharing insights with OSU’s reform committee and peer schools).  The O'Colly
  • Engineering senior Camryn Grabeal, who celebrated a spring graduation as a December grad at Oklahoma State, will begin six months of National Guard basic training in 24 days. She plans to convert her ODOT internship into a full-time role and launch a podcast sharing her journey.  The O'Colly
  • OSU faculty offered practical advice for graduating seniors as the fall semester ended in Stillwater. Professors encouraged students to seek opportunities + learn from mistakes and build strong personal and professional connections as they prepare to start their careers.  The O'Colly

SPORTS NEWS

  • Alex Facundo, the OSU wrestler, won the 174-pound title at Sunday's Cougar Clash—gaining a 7-3 record and a five-match win streak. He improved his performance through weight adjustments and strong coaching support after recovering from injuries.  The O'Colly
